Provence and the Côte d'Azur are some of the most popular touristic regions in France where many like to spend their holidays. This popular region stretches from about the Marseille-Toulon area to Menton on the border with Italy and from the Mediterranean Sea to tens of kilometres into the hinterland. The Provence – Côte d'Azur is known for its Mediterranean climate and over 300 days of sunshine a year. In addition, there is the beautiful azure blue sea which is where the name Côte d'Azur comes from. By the sea there are kilometres of sandy beaches and boulevards with palm trees that are interspersed with fashionable seaside resorts with cozy terraces and artistic artists' villages. Well-known towns are the towns of St. Tropez, Nice, Cannes, Fréjus, Juan les Pins, Antibes and St. Maxime. Each and every one of them is worth a visit during your holiday.
