The Cite de l'Espace in Toulouse is a large theme park, focused on space and any related topics. It gives both young and old a playful insight into achievements in the scientific field.

Activities

The park includes life-sized models, such as the Ariane 5 rocket (55m high), the Mir space station and Soyuz modules. There is a planetarium with 140 seats and one with 280 seats with all-day shows. There are also many, often interactive, exhibitions. For example, you can assist preparing the launch of a rocket (the Ariane 5) and guide it during take-off. Put a satellite into orbit from the control room.

Education

Learn everything there is to know about astronauts, cosmonauts and taichonauts. Immerse yourself in the Hubble, ISS Space Station, differences in food and drinks among Americans, French and Russians and experience what it’s like to be in the Soyuz capsule.
Experiment with weightlessness, spin in a gyroscope and learn how GPS works and what satellites are.

Very worthwhile for a day trip.
