In the vicinity of Château de Salles there are plenty of opportunities for cycling.
A large network of cycle paths has been built in the Gironde.
Nature is varied so that you can choose a different environment every time.
South of the park are the vast forests of Les Landes, one of the largest planted forests in Europe and very popular among cyclists. If you cycle in westerly direction away from, you will end up in the coastal region. There are cycle paths on the coast and cycle paths located more inland.
From the coastal region you’ll need to cycle to the north to get to the famous bay of Arcachon. This bay is surrounded by beautiful tourist villages and is an ideal area for cycling.
Bicycles are rented out at the park as well as in the village of Salles, which is a 5 min. walk from the park. There are different types of bicycles for rent: traditional bicycles, children's bicycles and E-bikes. From the end of April, Résidence du Château de Salles will have new rental bikes, including electric bikes. You can reserve these bikes in advance. The target prices are given in a table.
