Shuttle bus in the Abondance valley

In winter and summer there are several buses that run through the Abondance valley. They ensure that the villages in the Portes du Soleil are connected efficiently with each other. Especially during the winter it is popular to leave the car behind at the apartment and take the shuttle to visit other ski spots. La Chapelle d'Abondance is a lovely place, but so are other spots such as Châtel, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine or Les Crosets.

How to get to the slopes of the Portes du Soleil

The departmental scheduled buses, the bus services provided by the government, run through the valleys. The waiting times are not long. In addition, there are also shuttle buses that run through several villages in the Abondance valley. These ride between the villages of Chevenoz, Vacheresse, Bonnevaux, Abondance, La Chapelle d'Abondance and Châtel. This is in addition to the departmental buses. These shuttle buses are free on presentation of your ski pass in winter and the Multi Pass in summer.

From La Chapelle to Châtel

In about 10 minutes you can get from La Chapelle d'Abondance to Châtel, a village further away that is connected to other slopes of the Portes du Soleil. The bus stops at various lifts on the slopes and is free on presentation of your ski pass.
