Shuttle bus in the Abondance valley

In winter and summer there are several buses that run through the Abondance valley. They ensure that the villages in the Portes du Soleil are connected efficiently with each other. Especially during the winter it is popular to leave the car behind at the apartment and take the shuttle to visit other ski spots. La Chapelle d'Abondance is a lovely place, but so are other spots such as Châtel, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Morzine or Les Crosets.

How to get to the slopes of the Portes du Soleil

The departmental scheduled buses, the bus services provided by the government, run through the valleys. The waiting times are not long. In addition, shuttle buses also run in the Abondance valley in the villages of Chevenoz, Vacheresse, Bonnevaux, Abondance, La Chapelle d'Abondance and Châtel. This is in addition to the departmental buses. The shuttle bus in La Chapelle drives you to the various ski lifts in the village for free. If you want to go to one of the other villages, you can take the departmental bus or use your own car. There are large car parks at Crêt-Beni, Panthiaz, Pré-la-Loux and Linga.

From La Chapelle to Châtel

In about 10 minutes you can get from La Chapelle d'Abondance to Châtel, a village further away that is connected to other slopes of the Portes du Soleil. The bus stops at various lifts on the slopes. You can also ski from La Chapelle to Châtel.
