How to get to the zipline in the Portes du Soleil
You can get to the starting point of the zipline in two ways, by foot or with the Chairlift Pré-la-Joux. Once you arrive at the top of the mountain you will be greeted with a beautiful view that extends for miles. Once it is your turn, you firstly will need to be weighed seen as there are weight limits which can also vary depending on the weather. You will then be given a harness which hangs by a pulley and will securely attach you to the zipline. Your legs are also fastened in the harness which will lead you to be in a completely horizontal position and ready to go on the zipline adventure….
Flying over the valley with great speed
After asking you if you are ready and getting an affirmative answer to this, you will hear a click which is the safety cable detaching and your flight beginning. The speed increases rapidly and with a speed of about 100 km/h you will fly over the valley, over the hamlet/town of Plaine-Dranse. Below you can see loads of little doll-like people skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. The time flies when you’re having fun and before you know it you will have travelled 1200 meters and approach the end point. The Fantasticable stops within a few seconds due to a huge spring construction. After stopping you will be freed from the harness.
You can go down again either by walking or by taking the chairlift. During the winter you can even ski down because you can take your skis on the flight. You will be an experience richer!
