The best games to do on vacation

Are you on holiday in France and have you chosen a  FranceComfort holiday park as your stay? Then you can count on a holiday in well-facilitated park. FranceComfort holiday parks are the ideal base to stay in if you want to discover beautiful surroundings and have a comfortable home to return to after a day full of excitement. But that doesn't mean you have to go out every day. On the contrary, because there is always plenty to do at the FranceComfort parks. We are happy to tell you more about how you can spend a day in one of our holiday parks.

Cool off with a dip in the pool

Many of FranceComfort's parks are located in regions where the temperature is generally particularly pleasant. In the summer, it can even get quite hot. On such days it is great to be able to cool off. Most of FranceComfort's parks have a lovely swimming pool, where you, your children, friends or family can splash around. Ideal to relax together and have some fun. At various parks, our luxurious holiday villas even have their own private swimming pool. If you stay in one of these homes you can enjoy the coldness of the pool directly from your holiday home. Our holiday villas with private pool are also great if you are going on holiday with children, because it makes it easy to keep an eye on them. From your terrace you can keep an eye on your children splashing around in the water. A fun game to play in the pool is treasure hunting. Lower toys or small gifts to the bottom of the pool and challenge your children to retrieve them.

Organize your own tennis tournament

Another facility that we offer to our guests at many of our parks are tennis courts. This is of course an ideal place to organize a match and see who’s the best in the family. During your holiday you have plenty of time to play a match with your partner or children. It is also a fun idea to organize a tournament with other guests of the holiday park during the evening. Have everyone in your group play a short game against each other and see who has scored the most points at the end.

Pairs

Of course, you can also form pairs and play doubles. Make sure that the pairs are divided a bit fairly so that everyone enjoys the match! Undoubtedly, there will be an audience to cheer you on.

Play a game of pétanque

It is one of those activities that is actually inextricably linked to France: pétanque. You can't really go to a holiday park in France without playing at least one game. Television shows show entire competitions that are organized by holidaymakers.

Pétanque is a game that is fun for all ages. Children love to be involved, even if they just pick up the balls. The rules are simple and in general this is also a game where the atmosphere remains relaxed. That does not alter the fact that it can still be quite exciting. Especially if there are a lot of balls near the small ball, the "but"! All our holiday parks are equipped with the equipment needed to play a game with your entire travel group.

Bring games with you on holiday

For a fun afternoon together, you can also take some games with you when you go on holiday. You don't have to cram an entire monopoly game into your suitcase, you can also opt for smaller board games. Take a look in your toy store and you will see that you will find a very wide range of games. Many shops also sell compact versions of larger board games. Popular games that everyone has probably played at least once include Charades, Carcassonne, 30 seconds or the dice version of Settlers of Catan. Of course, there are also the classics such as Scrabble and Cluedo.

Card games

There are also fun card games that you can take with you on vacation. These don’t take up much space in your suitcase anyway! Uno is always a great game to take with you. Other fun card games include Exploding Kittens, Dobble and Cards Against Humanity. Have a look around your local toy store to see what's available.

A scavenger hunt is always a good idea

Do you and your group want to play a game that is not only exciting, but also keeps everyone active? Then set up a challenging scavenger hunt. Don't just come up with a fun route through the holiday park, but also add various challenges that the participants need to complete. With a scavenger hunt you can enjoy the beautiful nature France has to offer. Of course, you can choose how long or how difficult/easy you want to make the scavenger hunt. This is an ideal activity to do together. You can also choose to let your children set out the scavenger hunt and let them surprise you. Is there an entertainment team at your park? Perhaps you can do something together. They have experience and know the program of the coming days and are always willing to organize a fun activity for you and the children.
